DESCRIPTION:Ekphrastic Art Workshop 2023\n\nAn ekphrastic poem is a vivid description of a scene or\, more commonly\, a work of art. Through the imaginative act of narrating and reflecting on the "action" of a painting or sculpture\, the poet may amplify and expand its meaning.\n\n \n\nAnd oppositely\, the act of creating a visual artwork can contribute to the creation of poetry. Let's do both in an afternoon of art discovery & fun. The class of 30 will be split into 3 groups of 10 each. Each will spend an hour and a half in poetry\, 1.5 hours in music/movement then another hour and a half in painting.
