SUMMARY:Hiking the Coastal Plain
DESCRIPTION:Hiking the Coastal Plain is a course designed to introduce students to the varied hiking locations in Southeastern\, North Carolina. Locations will be within urban\, suburban\, and rural areas. The hikes themselves will take in a variety of terrain and ecosystems. Viewing opportunities of flora and fauna unique to this region will be a focus. The hiking will be presented in a way to be welcoming to all abilities and interests. This program qualifies for the NC Environmental Educator Criteria II. This class counts towards the Nature Guide Certificate Pathway.
