DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce our preparations for the  5th Annual Shallotte \n\n Multicultural Holiday Festival to be held on Saturday\, December 6th from\n\n 12:00 Noon - 5:00 p.m. This FREE family -friendly festival will be held on the \n\n grounds of the Eastgate Plaza\, 150 Holden Beach Rd. Shallotte\,  NC.\n\n            \n\n              With the success of the previous  festivals\,   this year's festival will include a multitude \n\n of new activities such as arts & crafts and business vendors\, ethnic food sampling and \n\n performances\, and a wide range of children's activities. We look forward  to a family-\n\n             friendly  event that will bring  thousands of people together. \n\n \n\nThe Shallotte  Multicultural Holiday Festival's objectives include:\n\n\n	Promote cultural awareness and understanding within the Town of Shallotte.\n	Provide a family-friendly environment for the kick-off to the Christmas Holidays\n	Raise awareness of the arts and cultures\n	Establish new partnerships between the Shallotte Multicultural Holiday Festival planning committee\, the Town of Shallotte\, businesses\, non-profits and churches \n	Generate additional revenues for the City of Shallotte\n\n\n\n             We invite the public  to come  and celebrate the magic of the Holidays with us  at the  \n\nfamily-   oriented  multicultural festival.  This year\, the Shallotte  Christmas Parade \n\nwill  be followed by the  Multicultural Holiday Festival.  The festival will  include:\n\n \n\n	A Multicultural Stage showcasing the Brunswick Big Band and some of the "best-of the-best ethnic performers such as the Ballet Folklorico Guadalupano and the Walsh Kelley School of Irish Dance and many more. \n	The festival will also featurearts and crafts\, businesses and community resources vendors and a Multicultural float in the Christmas Parade\n	The children's programs will include a Bounce Castle\, Safari Club\,a clown\, face painting\, martial arts exhibits\,games and a visit with Santa Claus.\n	Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to savor some of the best ethnic cuisine from some of our regional restaurants. \n	Free Health Screenings\n\n A highlight of the festival will be the  Christmas Tree lighting
