  Sociologists have learned that all people are vulnerable to a lack of needs satisfaction, as defined by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, and that that lack is a seed that can grow into serious community issues. 

 Many organizations are working on the issues, each doing their own thing but, generally, not aware of each other’s separate focus and activities.  None of us can accomplish our missions in isolation.  The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department and Stand Against Trafficking USA are asking educators, law enforcement, faith based organizations, medical service providers, and all other relevant organizations and community  to come together in a forum where the most serious issues can be discussed and each individual organization’s focus and needs can be identified.  Our goal is to familiarize the Brunswick and New Hanover County organizations with each other and to link them by a smart phone application.
