It's a 5K walk
Village Road...> Main St...>Eastside World Outreach, 4755 Main St
Then it heads back to and end at Calvary Baptist Church.
Why: Last year, 173 Shallotte/South Brunswick walkers raised $11,869.50 and of that, $2,967.38 went to the local SBIC Food Pantry.
Cumulatively since 1991, the local walk has raised $149,920 to fight hunger locally and around the world.
Of that, $37,480.13 has been donated to the SBIC Food Pantry to address local hunger needs.
Note: CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by religious groups, businesses, schools and others to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.
