Summer Arts Camps Series - Waterway Arts Association Fine Arts Camp

The Brunswick Arts Council, in conjunction with several arts groups in Brunswick County, has announced that they will conduct a series of Art Camps this summer. Four Summer Art Camps will be offered from June 20 through June 23, 2012. The camps will allow middle school students to work with local professional artists to create an art project in three days that will be shown to parents and friends on the fourth day, a Saturday. A fifth Summer Art Camp will be offered from June 28 through July 1, 2012.

The Camps will be held at five separate locations so that students will have a short distance to travel to attend a Camp. The cost to the student is $15 which will cover instruction, classroom rent, insurance, art supplies, and snacks. Students need to be at the Art Camp classroom at 8:00 am and we will adjourn at 12:00 noon. Parents or friends will need to transport students each day. Parents are always welcome to the Camp sessions and if the students want to bring art materials from home they may.

This camp will focus on foam sculpting and line quality studies by using drawing and watercolor painting. An art show and sale will be held on Saturday.
