The Carolina Opry Christmas Special

A holiday tradition for over 26 years, The Carolina Opry Christmas Special brings the spirit of Christmas to life with music, comedy and dance. Referred to as “The Holiday Show of the South,” this show is at the top of every Myrtle Beach Holiday itinerary.

Award winning producer, director and performer Calvin Gilmore said recently, “Right now, families and groups need light-hearted entertainment more than ever before. We are pulling out all the stops to make this the most amazing, funny, warm and wonderful show ever.”

The 2012 season brings exciting new changes blended with your favorite traditions; new talent mingled with your favorite rotating artists – including All That, Rocky Fretz and new voice, Nathan Herron! All That, clogging stars of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, return with all new material for 2012. A member of the original Carolina Opry cast in 1986, Rocky Fretz has been dazzling our audiences for over 25 years. An incredible vocal talent and star of American Idol, Nathan is quickly becoming a crowd favorite. Expect to see some new material carefully blended with your traditional favorites.

The Carolina Opry Christmas Special is the original Christmas show in Myrtle Beach and has been a perennial vote leader as Best Holiday Show in Myrtle Beach. Shows run November 1 through January 5, 2013, with regular evening performances and selectively scheduled matinees.
