Charity Wellness Walk, Community Health Fair & Mammography Screenings

The event will combine fitness, health education and preventive screenings available to the community. Women who are due for their annual mammogram may schedule an appointment to receive anon-site screening through the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Mobile Mammography Unit. Mammograms will be available during the health fair. To schedule an appointment, call 910-721-1485.

In addition to mammography services, attendees will have access to free blood pressure screenings provided by Hope Clinic, kidney health education and resources from the AmericanKidney Fund, and information about organ, eye and tissue donation through Donate Life North Carolina.

Chef John will also provide healthy recipe samples and nutrition tips.Registration and check-in for the Charity Wellness Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the walk starting at 9 a.m. Participants of all ages are encouraged to walk, run or stroll at their own pace.Registration for the walk is $15.

Proceeds from the event support the Roosevelt & Ruth Marlow Educational & Recreational Foundation's community health and wellness programs, as well the park and playground at Roosevelt & Ruth Marlow Memorial Park.
